Welcome to the IENE project!

Introduction to IENE1

The partners from five European countries developed a European model for intercultural education of nurses and healthcare professionals based on the Papadopoulos, Tilki and Taylor (PTT) model implemented in the UK by Middlesex University of London and widely used in many other universities.

During the Leonardo Partnership project "IENE 1", the partners developed an informative guide, a learning platform with learning materials and a teaching model for the intercultural education of nurses and healthcare professionals.

Transcultural Competence

Transcultural competence is a health and social care imperative in the twenty-first century. The migration of both nurses and populations is a challenge to the delivery of culturally competent care.

Introduction to IENE2

The Leonardo Transfer of Innovation project "IENE 2" adapts and integrates this innovative model in transcultural education of nurses and health care professionals in four partner countries: Belgium, Germany, Romania and France.
